Monarch Apartment Construction Underway

For years, it’s been known as the North End of Palm Springs.

But now the city is calling it the Upper Westside One Palm Springs neighborhood.

Sounds more like something you’d find in Manhattan.

It’ll be anchored by the  60-unit  Monarch Apartment complex, being built on 3.6 acres at North Indian Canyon Drive and San Rafael.

There will one, two and three bedroom apartments.

The apartment buildings will have a mid-century design, a dog park, a children’s play area and water feature, a computer classroom, a community lounge, a laundry room, on-site parking and 2 BBQ areas.

All units will have a patio or balcony.

The units will be all-electric, with energy-eficient appliances, reflective surfaces, cool roofs, and double insulation.

Cost of the project?  31 million dollars.
