It’s 47 years to life in prison for 30 year old Andrew Allen, despite the fact that his wife pleaded for a lenient sentence.

Allen did not get a light sentence  for his conviction on seven felony counts.

On August 20th 2019, Allen punched and kicked his wife in the stomach and head so many times, he knocked her out.  The wife was pregnant at the time. The couples’ 6 and 10 year old children were eating breakfast in the family’s  Hovley Lane apartment at the time.

Allen then pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot his wife.

A jury found Allen guilty in March of 2020.

His wife provided a written statement from the wife, who said Allen was a good father who should be allowed to raise his children.

“Our kids will now become victims as long as we continue to punish their father and not allow him to be a part of their lives,” she wrote.  “We live in a world where it takes two parents to raise children.”

The judge issued an order that prohibits Allen from contacting his wife and kids while he’s behind bars.

Allen has four previous domestic violence convictions where this same wife was the victim.
