Lawsuits Cost Johnson & Johnson More Than $6 Billion

The cost of using health and beauty items from Johnson and Johnson could be heading higher, now that the corporate giant has agreed to pay 6 and a half billion dollars to settle lawsuits across the country.

This is the never-ended story of lawsuits filed against J & J claiming talc in its powder products caused ovarian cancer in people who used the powder.

Over the next three months, Johnson and Johnson will work to clear all current and future lawsuits from the books by filing bankruptcy proceedings with one of its subsidiaries LTL Management.

99% of the lawsuits filed against Johnson and Johnson involved ovarian cancer claims.
