La Quinta Man In More Trouble
At 7 in the morning, many people are getting ready for work or school. Others are completing overnight shifts and getting ready to head home.
But for 39 year old James Obrien of La Quinta, committing a felony while out on bail was more appealing.
On the morning of November 12th 2021 the Coachella Community Action Team, and the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team served search warrants at two homes on Avenida Obregon in La Quinta, and Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes, and one business along Highway 111 in Indio.
They are investigating a commercial burglary which occurred in the city of Coachella at a cannabis manufacturing company on August 17th 2021.
Agents found 3,815 pre rolled marijuana cigarettes weighing 38 pounds, more than one ounce of methamphetamine, one pound of processed marijuana, a mason jar of honey oil cannabis, and items indicative of narcotic sales.
A stolen vehicle used to commit the burglary on august 17th was also recovered.
Obrien was arrested for burglary, possession of cannabis for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of a fake federal identification card, vehicle theft, and committing a felony while out on bail.
He’s at the John Benoit Detention Center in the City of Indio.
