Indio Police Department Gets 2 Grants

Indio Police are getting 2 grants courtesy of American taxpayers  via the  California Office  of Traffic Safety, with some funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.   

An 80-thousand dollar grant will be used to pay for  ongoing traffic enforcement and education programs in an effort to reduce the number of serious injuries and deaths on our roads. 

That grant can be used through September 2025.

The other grant is for 32-thousand dollars and that money will also be used through September 2025 to upgrade the efficiency of reporting crash and traffic citation data.
