The American Red Cross in Imperial County is helping 130 people from 40 homes in the city of Niland, after fire ripped through the areas near Highway 111 and Fourth Street in Niland at 7 o’clock Sunday night June 28th 2020.
Those 40 homes were destroyed.
The people living in those homes were safely evacuated. No one was hurt.
The fire was fully contained Monday morning June 29th.
