Hurley Staying At UConn; Nixes Lakers $70M Offer

UConn Head Coach Dan Hurley has turned down an offer to become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.

ESPN  reports Hurley has rejected a six-year contract worth 70-million-dollars…about 11.66 million dollars a year.

He will stay at Connecticut to chase a third consecutive national title with Huskies.

Hurley would’ve been one of the NBA’s six highest paid coaches if he had taken the job.

But he is on a 6 year contract at UConn that started in 2022 and pays him 32 million dollars…or 5.33 million dollars  a year.
