Oak View Group Unveils 2024 Holiday Extravaganza With a Joyful Line Up of Events and Programs Beginning November 13th 2024
The Season of Giving to include One Valley Foundation & FIND Food Bank canned food drive, Teddy Bear Toss toy collection, holiday tree lighting and Mariah Carey concert, Firebirds holiday-themed nights, Iceplex Winter Wonderland skates and many more festive events.
Holiday Tree Lighting
The festivities kick off on Wednesday, November 13 at 5:00p.m., with a spectacular holiday tree lighting ceremony featuring a 55-foot Christmas tree, the largest in the Coachella Valley. The community is invited to experience a variety of activies including writing letters to Santa, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and the hottest mascot in the AHL, Fuego, entertainment from DJ Modgirl, and enjoy holiday treats from Cocoa & Hot Toddy stations. The holiday tree lighting is free to attend.
Mariah Carey
Join the “Queen of Christmas” and best-selling female artist of all time, Mariah Carey, who will perform a Christmas Time concert on Wednesday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. Fans can sing along to her record breaking single “All I Want For Christmas Is You” along with classic holiday songs and fan favorites. The evening will include holiday-inspired food and beverage specials including exclusive cocktails and Stand Together non-alcoholic offerings along with hors d’ouevres and other sweet and savory treats. ‘Tis The Season to Give Back. One Valley Foundation, in partnership with FIND Food Bank, want to stamp out hunger in the Coachella Valley this holiday season. Beginning Wednesday, November 13, guests can donate non-perishable canned food items at all arena events – from concerts and Firebirds games to Berger Foundation Iceplex events, collection barrels will be available. Participants will receive a raffle ticket for the donation with the chance to win prizes including autographed items and unique experiences. Winter Wonderland Public Skates
On December 6 and 13, 6:15 p.m. – 7:45 p.m., guests can lace up their ice skates and glide into the holiday spirit alongside Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Iceplex’s Winter Wonderland Skate events. Reindeer games, holiday giveaways, and spectacular light show round out the family fun. Guests who dress up in festive holiday wear receive a free skate rental. Firebirds Theme Nights
The Coachella Valley Firebirds are heating up the holidays with the Annual Ugly Sweater Theme Night on Friday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m. Show your holiday spirit with your best “ugly” holiday attire, enjoy photos with Santa, festive food and beverage specials, and bid on Ugly Sweater warm-up jerseys along with a variety of holiday and limited-edition  themed merchandise.  The first 6,000 fans can score a free Firebirds Holiday Stocking. It’s Time for the Teddy Bear Toss!  Don’t miss one of the most exciting games of the season, join the Firebirds faithful on Saturday, December 28 at 6:00 p.m. for Teddy Bear Toss as the Firebirds take on the Ontario Reign and look to break the League record by tossing the most teddy bears onto the ice after the Firebirds score their first goal of the game.  Pre-game Plaza events, photo booth, live music, giveaways and more make it the perfect party. Fans can celebrate the end of 2024 at the Firebirds first ever New Year’s Eve Game vs. Colorado Eagles on December 31st 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the first 8,500 guests will receive light up wands.  NYE-inspired food and beverage specials, auction items, plus a variety of surprise experiences will light up the night! Cactus Cup NCAA D1 Hockey Tournament:
The celebrations don’t stop as we head into the new year! On January 3rd and 4th 2025  at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., hockey fans can cheer on four college teams as they battle it out during an exciting 2-day collegiate hockey tournament. Admission each day includes tickets to 2 games.  Participating teams include the 10th ranked “UMass Lowell” River Hawks, “Michigan Tech” Huskies, the “Holy Cross” Crusaders, and the “Omaha” Mavericks.
