Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has died from Covid-19.
Cain was also the former CEO of Godfathers Pizza.
He died Thursday morning July 30th 2020 in a hospital in Atlanta.
Cain has been at that hospital since July 1st when he was diagnosed with Covid-19.
Cain had attended President Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma ten days before he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Herman Cain graduated from Morehouse College in 1967 and climbed the ladder of corporate success with companies such has Coca Cola and Burger King before becoming CEO of Godfathers, one of the first African Americans to reach that level.
He made the company profitable in 14 months. He ran for President in 2000 and 2004, but received a lot of attention in 2012 earning some buzz with his 9-9-9 plan, which was flat taxes on business transactions, personal income and a federal sales tax.
