McDonald’s is pledging to make its Happy Meal toys more environmentally-friendly….by the end of 2025.
The fast food giant has already cut down its use of fossil fuel-based plastic in its toys by 30-percent since 2018.
Now McDonald’s has set a target of cutting 90% of its less-sustainable plastic levels used in the toys in 2018.
Happy Meals are sold at McDonald’s in 100 countries, with an estimated 1 billion toys given out each year, inside the Happy Meals.
For now, more eco-friendly toys will begin rolling out in the U.S. by January of 2022.
