In California, if you are a legal resident, and a  citizen of the United States, you will be fined by the State of California if  you choose not to buy health insurance, or choose not to be part of a group plan offered by your employer.

Further, when you get old and sick, you have to buy your own long term policy to cover nursing home care or assisted living.

But if you are a citizen of another country, and come to the United States illegally, you will get healthcare coverage at no cost to you, if California Governor Gavin Newsom gets his way.

He is likely to get his way, as his Democrat Party controls ever facet of government in California.

Part of his 286 billion dollar budget proposal includes universal healthcare for illegals, including Medi-Cal, long-term care, and in-home care. His plan also covers California residents whose income is lower the average, who cannot afford the exorbitant cost of health insurance.
