Gaetz Gone
Matt Gaetz has withdrawn his name from consideration for U-S Attorney General in President-elect Trump’s cabinet.
Gaetz recently resigned his House seat.
He’ll have to find something else to pursue, after allegations of him having sex with a minor torpedoed his plans to work in the federal government.
Several Republican U S Senators expressed reservations about the Gaetz nomination.
Gaetz has denied the accusations and the results of a House Ethics Committee investigation into Gaetz are not being released because he stepped down from his seat last week.
Gaetz posted on social media, that it is clear his “confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition.”
It’s not known yet who Donald Trump will nominate for U S Attorney General.
