Firebirds Open Western Conference Finals At Home; Coach Dan Bylsma Accepts Head Coach Job With The Seattle Kraken

The Seattle Kraken have hired Firebirds Head Coach Dan Bylsma to be the new Head Coach of the Seattle Kraken.

Bylsma will join the Kraken at the conclusion of the Firebirds’ playoff run.

Bylsma will finish his Firebirds coaching tenure with a 94-32-11-7 record in the regular season helping lead the team to back-to-back postseason Pacific Division Championships, a Western Conference Championship, and a regular season Pacific Division title.  And of course, the team is still in the hunt for the Calder Cup this season.

Firebirds Assistant Coach Jessica Campbell is also up for consideration to  join the Kraken coaching staff.

 Coachella Valley will host the Milwaukee Admirals in game one of the Western Conference Finals Wednesday, May 29th at Acrisure Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
