Ever wonder what you have in common with a ferret?

Well a drug maker is trying to find out.

Novavax is testing a new vaccine that would help build immunity against the Covid-19 virus and the influenza virus.

And it’s testing the vaccine on ferrets.

Early testing in ferrets found the combination vaccine produced “robust” antibody responses to both the Covid-19 and influenza viruses.

Novavax says its works is still in the  early stages.

Clinical trials in humans could start in late 2021.
