Fed Holds Interest Rates Steady

The Federal Reserve is leaving interest rates unchanged.

On Wednesday June 12th 2024 , the Central Bank left  interest rates where they  are, which is at their highest level in more than two decades as it continues to fight inflation.

The benchmark rate is in a range of 5.25% to 5.50%. The decision came after the Labor Department’s Consumer Price Index report released earlier in the day showed the growth of inflation slowed last month.
