Electric Freight Corridor On The Way To Battle “Climate Crisis”
American taxpayers will pony up at least 102 million dollars to build a corridor for electric trucks to transport freight up and down the West Coast.
California, Oregon and Washington will see new electric truck charging stations, many of which are built in China, and hydrogen fueling stations.
One of the highways on the freight corridor will be Interstate 5.
California Governor Gavin Newsom is giving credit to the Biden-Harris Administration, for helping California build clean transportation infrastructure, and fighting what Newsom calls ‘the climate crisis.”
The West Coast Truck Charging and Fueling Corridor Project will be for zero-emission trucks only.
Currently there is not enough sunshine and wind to generate all the electricity needed in California.
Electric trucks will only add to the demand for electricity.
California continues to import electricity from other states and continues to use natural gas, a polluting fossil fuel, to generate large amounts of electricity for the state power grid.
But don’t look for this project to solve Newsom’s ‘climate crisis’ anytime soon. Construction of the new charging station corridor won’t even begin until 2026.
By then, human beings could be no better off than Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Lots of banknotes are flying against white background.
