Driver Killed After Not Stopping At Intersection

It was a deadly Election Day for a driver traveling on State Route 62  just north of Pierson Boulevard in the Whitewater area. 

Several people were hurt in a 2 car crash around 11 in the morning on Tuesday Nov 5th 2024.

The victims were rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center.  A man from Desert Hot Springs did not survive.

The Desert Hot Springs  Police Major Accident Investigation Team  reports the driver who was killed, was driving westbound on Pierson Boulevard, and failed to stop at the intersection of State Route 62.

The car crossed into the northbound lanes of Highway 62, and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
