37 year old Wendy Ruiz Lopez of Desert Hot Springs has some problems.

Bad enough she was arrested on Tuesday June 22nd during a sex trafficking bust in La Quinta.

She compounded the problem by giving police an I-D card that belonged to someone else, which she had stolen.

Lopez claimed to be Erika Arroyo Hernandez.

As the Sheriffs Department was sorting this out, Lopez was posting an ad online for escort services.

So undercover deputies replied to the ad, and agreed to meet Lopez in La Quinta late Wednesday afternoon June 30th 2021 for a sexual rendez-vous at a set price.

That’s when deputies arrested Lopez for prostitution, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, identity theft, and giving deputies a false name when they arrested her back on June 22nd.

Now, she’s cooling her heels at the county jail in Indio.
