Delta Air Lines is raising health insurance premiums for unvaccinated employees to cover higher  COVID-19 costs.

The Atlanta-based company plans to increase the cost of health insurance for employees who are not vaccinated against Covid-19.

Employees of the airline who have insurance through the company will start paying a 200-dollar monthly surcharge on November 1st 2021

The fee will help cover increased healthcare costs.

Unvaccinated employees will also be required to wear a mask indoors at all times and take a weekly COVID test starting September 12th 2021.

It comes as Delta is also requiring new employees to be vaccinated against coronavirus.
