Day In Court For The Man Who Crashed Into 2 Businesses In Downtown Palm Springs On May 17th 2024

It is court day in Indio today for 30 year old Jose De La Cruz Uzaga Reyes.

He’s the man accused of vandalism and driving under the influence and hit and run causing property damage, after he crashed his SUV into 2 businesses on the east side of Palm Canyon Drive at Museum Way in the heart of downtown Palm Springs.

Extensive damage was done to Sunny Days and Destination PSP and this was after Reyes tried to crash his SUV into the Forever Marilyn statue just a couple of blocks away. Barricades are set up to protect Marilyn from this type of crime. 

No one was hurt because the crash happened after 10 o’clock Friday night May 17th 2024, and the stores were closed.
