D.C. A-G Files Suit Against StubHub

A new lawsuit accuses online ticket platform StubHub of using predatory tactics to trick customers into paying more than they expected.  

The suit, filed by Washington D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb, argues StubHub  entices customers with a lower price for tickets before tacking on fees, which violates DC’s consumer protection laws.  

It also claims StubHub is not transparent about what the fees are for or how it determines the amount of the fees.  

Of course, the customer always wins.  You can avoid the fees and the high ticket markup, by simply not doing business with StubHub.
