Covid Pandemic Food Stamp Allotments Ending March 26th 2023

For the past 3 years, Californians on welfare have been getting additional food stamps from California taxpayers.

The additional help started when the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

But the pandemic will come to an end on May 11th 2023 according to the U-S Department of Health and Human Services.

So, the extra food stamps will come to an end also.

Currently, many businesses, big and small, are hiring people, the exception being large tech companies which are laying off people.  Jobs are plentiful, and anyone who wants to work can get a job.

The Riverside County Department of Public Social Services reports that 165,279 households in the county have been getting roughly 2-hundred dollars per month, in additional food stamps the past 3 years.  That’s on top of their regular monthly food stamp allotment.

The additional allotment due to the pandemic ends on March 26th 2023.
