Covid-19 Hospitalizations Still Rising In Riverside County; Recovery Rate Still Above 96%

As of Friday morning August 20th 2021

 

Hospitalizations are still rising in Riverside County due to Covid-19.

 

535 hospitalized, 102 in ICU.

 

Of the 324,789 positive cases of Covid-19 in Riverside County since early 2020, 313,272 of those people have recovered, which is a 96.45% recovery rate.

 

The Daily Case Rate is 32.6 cases per 100-thousand people.

 

The Positivity Rate is 12.5%.  Both numbers are high enough to put the County in the most restrictive Purple Tier. But the colored coded tier system created by Governor Gavin Newsom, was scrapped back in mid-June 2021.

You can go to www.rivcoph.org or www.myturn.ca.gov to make an appt and see the entire list of locations to get the Covid 19 vaccine.

 

The State of California Public Health Dept is calling people too to see if you need the vaccine or a ride to a vaccine location.
