‘Coffee Research Center’ Now Open At U-C Davis

A California university is the first in the nation to study the science of coffee. And it will do so at California taxpayers’ expense

U-C Davis has a new research center with more than 50 faculty members from various departments.

The Chancellor says to think of it “as a hub of all things coffee.”

The facility was created out of a popular elective course and aims to use cutting-edge technology to learn about all aspects of coffee, from green bean storage to brewing to experimental preparation methods.
