Coachella Man Nabbed By Undercover Deputy

Undercover deputies have nabbed 41 year old Ramiro Favela Benitez of Coachella after he tried to hook up with a 16 year old girl.

But the person Benitez was contacting was actually a Riverside County Sheriffs deputy who was posing as a 16 year old girl.

Benitez started a conversation online on Tuesday, September 17th 2024, discussing his intention s to meet a young teenage girls for sex.

On Friday September 20th 2024, deputies served a search warrant at a home on  Suncrest Street in  Coachella, and arrested Benitez without incident.

Benitez was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for contacting a minor with the intent to commit specific offenses, sending harmful matter with intent to seduce a minor, and annoy or molest a child under 18 years old.
