CHP Kicks Off “CHiPs For Kids” Holiday Toy Drive

On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, the California Highway Patrol  Indio Area will partner with Walgreens to kick-off the “CHiPs for Kids” toy drive. 

The event will be held at the Walgreens located at 44840 Monterey Avenue, just south of Highway 111 in Palm Desert.

The event is from 2 p-m to 5 p-m.

Anyone wishing to donate a new, unwrapped toy can do so at any Walgreens in the Coachella Valley, or at the CHP Indio Area office. 

We will also be hosting multiple “Cover the Cruiser” events in December.

The last day to donate toys has been scheduled for December 20th, 2023. The thousands of toys donated will benefit needy families and children here in the Coachella Valley. Every child deserves to have a special holiday. 

The mission of the CHP is to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security.
