Cathedral City Man Crashes Car; Ejected & Killed

27 year old Carlos Gutierrez of Cathedral City was killed in a crash on Interstate 10, at 3:20 Sunday morning July 30th 2023.
It was along eastbound Interstate 10 east of Wall Road in Palm Springs.
Gutierrez lost control of his Chevy Malibu and crashed into the metal guardrail in the center median.
He was not wearing a seatblet and was ejected and killed.
A 25 year old female from Palm Springs was wearing a seatbelt in the passenger seat and was not ejected, and survived.
Alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, according to the CHP.
