Canada Warns LGBTQ+ Travelers To Avoid The U-S

Canada is warning its LGBTQ+ citizens of the risks they may face when travelling to the United States.
An updated advisory from the Global Affairs Canada encourages travelers to check the relevant state and local laws, saying that some states in the U-S have enacted policies that affect the LGBTQ+ community.
In a statement to CNN, Global Affairs Canada cites laws that ban drag queen shows, restrict access to medical care for people who choose to change their gender, and prevent men who become transgender women from competing against biological women in sporting events.
In June 2023, the U-S-based advocacy group Human Rights Campaign has actually declared a national State of Emergency for LGBTQ+ Americans citizens.
