Cal State Associates Discuss Current Events

The Cal State University Associates at Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus has announced its upcoming presentations for the spring 2023 season.
- February 21, 2023 – Netflix’s Blown Away: Behind the Scenes with CSUSB Professor Katherine Gray
- March 14, 2023 – Disney in the Desert
- April 11, 2023 – Planes, Trains and Inflation –The Economy and the Markets
- May 9, 2023 – Up in Smoke – Marijuana in the Coachella Valley – What Went Wrong, What Went Right
Presentations about research on forced organ harvesting in China and the history of the Salton Sea and the road ahead have already taken place earlier this year.
The Cal State University Associates is a premier organization of supporters of the Palm Desert Campus of California State University, San Bernardino. Members serve as goodwill ambassadors for the campus in the community and contribute tax-deductible yearly dues of $125/year for individuals or $200/year for couples. Other membership levels are available by visiting the Cal State University Associates webpage.
The majority of membership dues go toward scholarships for deserving students at the campus.
This vital support group has already donated more than $127,000 to the campus scholarship program since its inception in 2009.
Benefits of membership include: invitations to exclusive “members only” programs, contributing to student scholarships and knowing you are supporting the educational opportunities for all ages at the only four-year public university in the Coachella Valley.
Presentations begin at 6 p.m. in the campus’ Indian Wells Theater, with a “social hour” in the theater lobby at 5 p.m.
Members of the community may attend one event at no cost in order to get acquainted with members and enjoy the evening’s presentation.
