Cabazon Man Arrested; Charged With 2021 Murder

In April 2021, a little more than 3 years ago,  investigators assigned to the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station began investigating the disappearance of Zachary Hemminger, a 30-year-old man from Cabazon. 

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit was called in.

In November 2023, investigators located human remains on Blanche Blanche Avenue in Cabazon, and the coroner confirmed they were the remains of Zachary Hemminger.

On Friday June 21st 2024, deputies arrested 47 year old  Shannon Collins, a 47-year-old man from Cabazon, and charged him with the murder of Zachary Hemminger. Collins was arrested without incident on Lois Avenue in Cabazon. 

Collins is jailed in Murrieta.
