The Coroner’s Office will have to determine what or who killed 61 year old Hantae Kim of Chula Vista.
He went missing on Sunday July 7th 2024 in a hiking area known as the Fuller Ridge Trailhead in the Whitewater Preserve.
Search and Rescue teams have trying to find Kim.
Thursday July 11th 2024, Kim’s body was found in a ravine near Black Mountain Truck Trail south of Snow Creek.
Triple digit heat has been baking the region this summer, and there are plenty of wild animals in the great outdoors surround the desert.
Whitewater Preserve park and bridge crossing is open on weekdays but is closed on weekends during the summer due to high fire risk.
