Billionaire On Sparse Diet; Asks For Vegan Meals In NYC Jail

Lawyers for former crypto whiz kid Sam Bankman-Fried are complaining, saying the 31 year old Bankman-Fried has to live on bread and water while he is in custody in a New York City Jail.

Bankman-Fried was sent back to jail in early August 2023 this month, ahead of his upcoming trial on fraud, money-laundering, and conspiracy charges for the collapse of the crypto exchange that made him a billionaire, FTX.

His lawyers told the judge the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center has not complied with Bankman-Fried’s request for a vegan die, and is not providing him with adequate supplies of his medications.

So far now, for the man that can own a bakery a million times over, it is just bread and water in jail, which his attorneys says is causing problems as they are preparing for the start of his trial on October 2nd 2023.

Bankman-Fried has pleaded not guilty.
