Best Places To Live??? Bring Your Mittens & Flannel Underwear
U.S. News and World Report has ranked the best countries in the world based on quality of life. Top five countries in the world for quality of life: Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, and Canada.
To rank the 89 countries listed, U.S. News and World Report surveyed roughly 17-thousand people worldwide and the countries were scored on affordability, job market, economic and political stability, safety, income inequality, and a well-developed public education and health system.
Though people in Denmark pay some of the world’s highest taxes – up to half of their income – healthcare is free, childcare is subsidized, university students pay no tuition, and the elderly receive pensions and are provided with care helpers. As you can see, if you move to Denmark, many decisions will be made by the government, giving you less freedom as an individual.
