Bank Robber On The Loose After Robbing A Bank In Palm Desert Without Using A Weapon
While it may have been a scorching hot day for many of you on Wednesday June 26th 2024, apparently it was a perfect day for a bank robber.
And so far, he pulled off the perfect bank robbery.
The 6 foot tall 175 pound white guy, between 50 and 60 years old, walked into U-S Bank along the 72-thousand block of Highway 111, west of Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert, at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon..
He approached a bank teller at the counter, and demanded money.
But he did not show a weapon nor indicate he even had a weapon.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, the suspect fled on foot and was long gone when deputies arrived.
During the robbery, the thug was wearing a green baseball cap, dark-framed prescription glasses, a light green t-shirt, and denim jeans. By now, he is likely wearing a different outfit.
The search for the suspect continues.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the suspect. Anyone with information on his immediate whereabouts should call 911 or contact Investigator Mitroff at the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station at 760–836–1600.
