Another Delay In Case Against Pougnet, Wessman, Meaney

It’s par for the course, yet another delay in the ongoing corruption case involving former Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet and 2 local developers.

This time, it’s Covid-19 that cancelled the Friday July 24th hearing at the Larson Justice Center.

The new hearing date is Friday October 16th 2020.

Attorneys for Pougnet, John Wessman and Richard Meaney are still planning to ask the judge to throw the case out.

The case is about bribe money Pougnet accepted from Wessman and Meaney in exchange for Pougnet voting in favor of development projects proposed by Wessman and Meaney’s development companies…Wessman Development and Union Abbey.

All 3 defendants remain free on bond.
