Angel Ramos Corrales of Riverside is facing just 7 years in prison after beating a 4 month old chihuahua puppy, and leaving it so badly injured it had to be euthanized.
He slashed the puppy’s throat and kicked the dog, even posting video of his actions, on Snapchat.
But after copping a plea bargain with federal prosecutors, Corrales can only get a maximum sentence of 7 years in federal prison.
He’ll be sentenced in Los Angeles on August 16th 2021.
Doctors at the Riverside County Animal Services Department determined the puppy’s injuries were so severe, he could not be saved.
For the 19 year old Corrales, this is his first criminal conviction in Riverside County.
Empty Prison Cell.
