27 People Nabbed At DUI Checkpoint For Driving Without A Driver’s License

An 8-hour DUI checkpoint in Rancho Mirage on Cinco de Mayo resulted in just one driver being nabbed for DUI.
The checkpoint was at Highway 111 and Library Way from 6 p-m Friday May 5th until 2 a-m Saturday May 6th.
During that time deputies pulled over 2 people who had suspended drivers licenses, and 27 people who were not licensed drivers at all.
More than 113-hundred vehicles pulled through the checkpoint.
The only person arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol was 36-year old James Ford of Hollywood.
