After a 5-year-old autistic child drowned earlier this year some parents are calling for the Palm Springs Unified School District to take action against two of their employees involved in the case and who recently returned to work. After the child drowned, both employees were placed on administrative leave and now that they’ve returned to their positions the family is furious. Emily Wereschagin considers herself a crusader who has dedicated these last months to finding justice and peace in the death of her daughter Anya. The child died when she attended a special education activity run by the United Cerebral Palsy Little Bridges after school program.
