Going, going..its gone!!! Gov. Sarah Palin made her bones last night. In one of the best and most aggressive speeches I have ever heard...she challenged the Democrats..specifically Barack Obama..to come out and play! She used with, sarcasm, her feminine charm and the kitchen sink..and threw it right in Obama/Biden's face..I saw Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia dancing, laughing and in full support of Gov. Palin as she spoke. I thought she did a unbelievable job of taking it to the Democrats and she is a force to be dealt with...in my opinion..she forgot about the moose..and field dressed Obama!! Ladies and Gentlemen..we have a horse race...I think she set a standard that John McCain will be hard pressed to meet tonight in his speech..believe me...this afternoon...we will get your reaction to Gov. Sarah Palin and her victory last night....I heard one of the delegates say those two fateful words...''its over.'' and after last night...that woman might be right....stay tuned...t-minus 2 for The Gary Stone Program...I hope you join me this afternoon and call with your opinions...on KNWZ the deserts newstalk superstation...I listened to Bulldog Bill Feingold last night..Patrick Evans was a great guest and Nate and Jeremy ran the show like they had been there forever...can't wait to hear what Bulldog has to say about Gov, Palin...see you this afternoon at 3... PENALTIES ON DOG LICENSES WAIVED FOR MONTH

Riverside County residents who neglected to purchase a license for their dog or failed to renew a license now have a chance to get one without penalties. The Department of Animal Services is offering a penalty amnesty until February 29th. They typically assess a $25 penalty for an overdue license application, but that fee is waived. The amnesty applies only to pet owners in unincorporated communities, and those whose dogs have been altered.

The family plans to hold a car wash at the Burger King on Highway 111 in Indio tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to raise money to pay for funeral arrangements.

NEW CHAIRMAN OF HIGH-SPEED RAIL IS APPOINTED

The California High-Speed Rail authority has a new chairman. The board appointed Dan Richard to the position. Richard is Governor Brown's choice to lead the volatile project that's seen its price tag more than doubled since 2008. Construction on the first phase of the project is expected to begin in the Central Valley later this year.
