The family of 5-year-old Anyah Glossinger is still hoping for justice following the child’s tragic drowning in a Desert Hot Springs therapy pool on January 23rd. The girl, who had autism and was legally blind, apparently slipped out of the floaties she was wearing and slipped to the bottom of the pool while a supervisor’s attention was on another child. Now the Riverside County District Attorney’s office has agreed to look into the possibility of corporate liability, which would hold the United Cerebral Palsy Dennis James Chapter responsible for Anyah’s death. Officials with the organization said they had not been contacted by authorities regarding any possible liability. Anyah’s mother, Emily Wereschagin, says she will keep pushing for someone to acknowledge accountability.
