The FIND Food Bank in Indio held its grand opening ceremony today for its new warehouse. As thousands of people in the Valley struggle to find jobs, more and more people need help putting food on the table. The food bank opened up a new warehouse in Indio. It has ten times the freezer and cooler space, allowing the non-profit to accept more food than ever before. CEO Lisa Houston says that the organizations numbers were growing so fast they had difficulty fulfilling the need. She adds it wasn’t because of a lack of food, but because their old location was simply running out of space.
